Shakespeare in the Park - Much Ado About Nothing

  • Three Bridges Park 610 S 35th Street Milwaukee, WI 53215 (map)

The Summit Players present their 2022 season: a brand-new production of Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing will visit 23 different Wisconsin State Parks (and Milwaukee’s Three Bridge’s Park!) this summer. We're excited to welcome this fabulous theatre troupe once again in Three Bridges Park along the Hank Aaron State Trail near 33rd Ct (south side of the river). Come and enjoy Shakespeare in this beautiful natural setting in the Menomonee River Valley!

To fully enjoy the show, we recommend, bringing a blanket and/or a chair, and a picnic dinner.

Much Ado About Nothing

Two couples find their romance interrupted by revenge plotting, mistaken identities and merry madness in this fast-paced adaptation of Shakespeare's classic comedy. Six actors assume the roles of heartfelt Hero and Claudio, witty Beatrice and Benedick, brave Don Pedro, wise Leonato, villainous Don John and a host of other colorful characters.

5:30pm: Workshop

Before each show, the Summit Players offer a free, 45-minute educational workshop focused on taking a closer look at Shakespeare's play and learning how he used nature language, poetic writing, and relatable themes to craft a story we're still telling today. More about workshops here: https://www.summitplayerstheatre.com/education

7:00pm: Show

All shows are presented free of charge. Seating is general admission on a first-come, first-served basis. Actors will accept donations at the end of the show.
