Join us in keeping Milwaukee beautiful with the 26th Annual Milwaukee Riverkeeper Spring Cleanup. The Valley needs volunteers to help clean up and green up!

We need volunteers at TWO sites to help cover the west and east ends of the Valley:

  • Menomonee Valley Community Park - Meet at 212 S 36th St (we have two meeting points in the same general area and arrival times vary this year to keep everyone safe and socially distanced). Register at meeting point 1 (FULL) or meeting point 2 (As of 4.19, spots open at 9:30 and 10:30am.)

  • All Hands Boatworks on Emmber Lane - Meet at 1313 W Mt Vernon Avenue. Register here (FULL).

The Hank Aaron State Trail still needs help at SIX out of 10 sites!

  1. HAST: 108th to 116th St Cleanup (Intersection of S 116th St and W Fairview Ave)

  2. HAST: Near Underwood Creek Cleanup (Kelmann Restoration (12001 W Dearbourn Ave, Wauwatosa, WI 53226)

  3. HAST: Hawley & Dickinson Cleanup (Intersection of Hawley St and W Dickinson St.)

  4. HAST: American Family Field Cleanup, Meeting Point 1 ( Tailgate Haus in the Gantner Lot)

  5. HAST: American Family Field Cleanup, Meeting Point 2 (south of the Tailgate Haus in the Gantner Lot)

  6. HAST: 84th to 94th Cleanup (Intersection of S 89th St and W Schlinger Ave)

Milwaukee Riverkeeper provides the bags, gloves, and FREE T-SHIRTS, and YOU provide the hands and energy to pick up trash, litter, and the interesting or bizarre pieces of garbage that find their way into our beautiful river system. Menomonee Valley Partners and Friends of Hank Aaron State Trail partner to host and support sites throughout the Valley.

SAFETY

We’re doing our best to make our rivers and land healthy, so it’s important for us to also care for the health of our communities at the same time.  We ask you to: MASK UP, SPREAD OUT, WASH HANDS, BE KIND & HAVE FUN!

Come on your own or coordinate a team of friends, family and colleagues. Dress to get messy!

Nearly 4,000 awesome volunteers head out to over 60 locations across the Milwaukee River Basin to help achieve swimmable, fishable rivers. More details will be available as the event approaches!

Registration

To help keep everyone safe until everyone is able to get vaccinated, there are two meeting points and staggered arrival times. The meeting points are very close together. If a time slot at one site is filled, please check the other site. The Valley needs your help to get clean and green!
