John McGivern is back with a new TV show
Actor, comedian and TV host John McGivern is returning to local airwaves. He’s hosting a new half-hour weekly TV show called John McGivern’s Main Streets, and it’s being produced by the Valley’s Plum Media.

Rite-Hite Expands Planned Headquarters (Urban Milwaukee)
Rite-Hite is expanding its Reed Street Yards headquarters on paper, just before it starts constructing the actual buildings. Rite-Hite designs and manufactures loading dock equipment, industrial doors, safety barriers, industrial fans and other products for warehouse operators. It wouldn’t do any manufacturing at the new campus, but plans to house approximately 300 employees involved in research, design, administration, sales and management.

Menomonee River Valley Week is happening all week long. Milwaukee residents can sign up for the public art bike tour, a self-guided tour that takes cyclists through the valley to see the various art pieces. The event is free and those interested can bring their own bikes or receive the Bublr Bike promo code when they sign up. The tour will be available from now until 9 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 19.

Today, leaders with Menomonee Valley Partners (MVP) and the Urban Ecology Center (UEC) announced the completion of Menomonee Valley – From the Ground Up, a comprehensive $25 million multi-year campaign that transformed a 24-acre brownfield into an active urban park, state trail, and outdoor science classroom; turned a vacant bar into a community center; and reconnected communities separated for more than a generation.
