Participating in the 20th Annual Hank Aaron State Trail 5k Run/Walk is great way to both support and enjoy the Hank Aaron State Trail! This route is for those who are competitive in nature as well as those who want to take a mid-August stroll. Beautiful scenery along the mostly flat course starts/ends near Miller Park and winds through the Menomonee River Valley. Arguably, one of Milwaukee's best events all summer long! Live music, burgers hot off the grill, root beer floats and refreshments, and prizes for age groups, teams and every 44th finisher!
Race proceeds support all major initiatives of The Friends of Hank Aaron State Trail, including:
Sending 125 kids to Bike Adventure Camp each summer,
Organizing Stew Crews that keep the trails clean from Spring through Fall, and
Art along the trail such as our current project, a landmark honoring the People of the Road
